5th Annual Ice Cream Social Fundraiser AKA Yum-raiser

Searching for a fun and delicious way to cool down your summer? Well it’s that time of year again. The Workhouse Arts Center has prepared an afternoon of ice cream, music, and art appreciation for the whole family.

From figurines to vases, to abstract forms the ceramics department enlivens this time-enduring art form for the young and old to admire and awe, and now they need a little of our assistance. Past Ice Cream Socials have averaged over $10,000 in revenue for the ceramics program

  1. A one-of-a-kind ceramic bowl. Each ceramic bowl is a unique handmade original designed by ceramic students, artists, and or instructors at the Workhouse. Choose your favorite from a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes!

  1. Ice cream! Settle that sweet tooth with an afternoon dessert of soft ice creamy-goodness in your brand new one-of-a-kind ceramic bowl. Don’t forget to add all your favorite toppings!

  2. Pony rides & Music. Enjoy pony rides from Tamarack Stables with the kids while you’re serenaded by rock and blues rhythms brought to you by the local band Backyard Blues.

  3. Ceramic arts support. Get the satisfaction of knowing your 15 dollars benefits the Lorton Arts Foundation and ceramics program at the Workhouse Arts center.

You have another chance to win big on an original piece of ceramic art by artist John Donovan, a piece valued at $1250 cut down to $5 when you purchase a raffle ticket.
