Updated: Former Swim Club Coach Pleads Guilty to Child Sex Abuse Former swim coach Rick Curl pleaded guilty to one count of child sex abuse Thursday in Montgomery County Circuit Court, NBC 4 reports. Charges were brought against Curl in November after a former swim student's allegations of abuse were reported by the Washington Post. The student claimed Curl abused her for five years in the 1980s. Police: Stranger Asks Mount Vernon Student Thursday to Get Into His Car A Mount Vernon High School student walking to school Thursday morning was approached by a man who tried to persuade her to enter his vehicle, according to Fairfax County Police. Two-Alarm Fire Destroys Fairfax Townhouse A two-alarm fire that destroyed a townhouse Thursday off of Roberts Road in Fairfax has sent one Fairfax County firefighter to the hospital with minor burns. Jeffrey Reagan, 44, of Bristow, was arrested last June with his alleged supplier at the Sully Plaza Shopping Center in Chantilly. Three people died in the accident, which occurred around 7 p.m. Thursday on the I-495 Beltway flyover ramp that leads to I-95 South. Woodbridge Man Perishes in I-495 Collision A Woodbridge man died in an accident on Interstate 495 Tuesday afternoon, Virginia State Police said. After the accident, Richard L. Edwards, 24, of Woodbridge, was taken to Fairfax Inova Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision. Court Date Set for Eric Kweder Eric Kweder was arraigned at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday for second degree murder, according to the Fairfax County General District Court.
