Lorton area crime events for the week preceding Jan. 25, as reported by the Fairfax County Police Department.
The following information was supplied by the Fairfax County Police Department. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. Fairfax County Police were called last Wednesday at around 7:45 p.m. after receiving reports of gunshots fired near the 7900 block of Gunston Woods Place in Lorton. Officers found that the suspect and the victim knew each other and had gotten into an argument. The suspect had fired several shots as a guest left his home. Here are the Lorton and Fairfax Station area crime events for the week preceding Dec. 26, 2012, as reported by the Fairfax County Police Department.
The following information was supplied by the Fairfax County Police Department. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. A 19-year-old Lorton woman was assaulted on the afternoon of Christmas Eve. The victim was walking home in the 7800 block of Lambkin Court, when at 2 p.m., a man inappropriately touched her from behind and ran away when she screamed. The incident is not connected to the string of recent assaults in the central Springfield area. Police are still searching for two suspects wanted in the Dec. 20 assault of a 26-year-old woman at a drive-thru of the McDonald's at Gunston Plaza.
