South County Little League Breaks Ground for Concession Stand at Lower Potomac Park
Fans will soon be able to cheer little leaguers in style in Lorton.
Representatives of South County Little League broke ground Friday for construction of a concession stand/bathroom facility at Lower Potomac Park. The field has undergone numerous renovations over the past five years, and the concession stand is scheduled to be completed this spring. "Based on these efforts, a new sense of community has been established at the park with children as young as four playing baseball on the new tee ball field alongside teenagers playing baseball on the 90 foot baseball field," according to South County Little League Board member Bob Kirk in an email to Patch.
