Three Lorton men have been arrested for allegedly hitting a 19-year-old man last week in Hagel Circle. Davon Fredericks, 26, Dasean Manns, 19 and Taliek Smith, 21, were charged with assault by mob and disorderly conduct for allegedly beating the victim, who was standing near his car in the 9600 block of Hagel Circle at around 1:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 8. The victim, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, was hit several times and the suspects fled the scene on foot. Manns was also charged with possession of marijuana. Lorton's three crime hotspots — Williamsburg Square, Hagel Circle and Gunston Plaza — have seen 26 crime events this year so far, an increase compared to the first three months of 2011 when 20 crime events occurred. "I'm proud of the efforts of residents who are taking care of their community," said Captain Shawn Bennett of the Franconia District Station, referring to the Hagel Circle neighborhood.
