Candidate is challenging incumbent in bid to represent Mount Vernon District on Fairfax County School Board.
The parent protest movement that got Fairfax County to add full-day kindergarten to all of its schools got its start in the summer of 2010 at Noodles & Company in Kingstowne. That's where Michele Nellenbach and two other parents went to pow-wow with Elizabeth Bradsher, who represents the Springfield District on the school board. Previously, a group of Stratford Landing Elementary parents had gone to the school board and asked for help, and were turned away, Nellenbach said in an interview with Patch this week.
