Stallions Beat Chantilly 74-57, Advance to Regional Semifinals
The winner on Friday goes to the state tournament.
The South County Stallions defeated the Chantilly Chargers 74-57 at home on Tuesday in the second round of the Northern Region Tournament. Tight defense led the South County team to victory, and the Stallions face Woodson for the regional championship game at 6 p.m. Friday at Robinson Secondary School. South County (7-15 in the regular season) has won four out of the last five playoff games. "We had a lot of close-call games in January, and I think the team learned from them," said South County coach Wendell Johnson.
