Ask Patch - Construction Off I - 95?

It looks like a parking garage...

Yesterday we had a reader inquire about a construction site that has gone up just to the right of I-95 south bound and just prior to the Lorton exit. The structure being built looks like it will be a parking garage. We've been able to gather some preliminary information, but will have more by next Tuesday.

Ask Patch - What's the Latest on Improvements to Hooes and Silverbrook Roads?

High volume traffic in a residential area

As part of the Lorton Patch - Ask Patch series we answer questions about Lorton. Previously, we answered questions about mailboxes (or the lack thereof) in Lorton. This week we investigate Kathy Rudnicki's questions about a high-traffic area that is also residential. She wrote: 1. Can you please find out the status of the proposed improvement at the Hooes Rd./Silverbrook Rd. intersection? 2. What exactly is the plan and when will it happen? 3. How many accidents have happened there in, say, the last year or so? We're on it and we'll have answers in a week (or less). Thanks for writing in, Kristin!
