It says Around Town but the headline is UTAH. Utah is not near Natick!! I think everyone should notRead More open an article on Patch unless they see their town's name in the headline. So If it doesn't say Natick, then we all know it is not LOCAL to the Natick Patch. The less clicks these Patch sites get, the fewer advertisers they will get and then perhaps they will realize if we want sensational news from across the country we'd go back to Patch's former owners AOL and the HuffPost! Those here from other Patch sites - I think you should do the same only click on articles that mention your community's name. No name. No click!

I am a Christian and have accepted Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God as my Lord andRead More Saviour. Some of you posting must not have actually heard what Pastor John Hagee said. What he said was, that when other blood moons ocurred that something significant ocurred regarding the Jews, the blood moon of 1492 and the expulsion edict to remove all Jews from Spain, the 1948 blood moon Israel became a nation, the 1967 blood moon and the six day war resulting in some Israeli land being reclaimed. Pastor Hagee said NOTHING about the end of the world ocurring to coincide with the four blood moons ( he did however say people would say he did - which looking at these posts some have misconstrued his words). Perhaps all the posters that are commenting on what Pastor Hagee said should actually hear what he said PRIOR to commenting/mocking/judging. Pastor Hagee and his statements. Perhaps, in time, we will see if the government of Israel has made a significant decision today. Personally (my very own personal opinion- no Biblical prophecy just me), I hope they decide NOT to ever release any more terrorists from prison to bribe the palestinians to "talk" about making a peace agreement.....just saying....

My husband took a week off from work when we had our first so he could be there when the baby wasRead More born and then so he could help me out as we were both adjusting to an entirely new situation in our lives. He ended up working half days most of the week, though, because the adjustment wasn't too bad since our daughter slept a lot and was fairly easy. As for a c-section, I personally don't think they should be scheduled unless it's absolutely necessary. And if she had a c-section, I'd think she'd have needed him home more since she's recovering from major surgery at that point!

Following this outrageous "logic", this idiot would probably have preferred the VirginRead More Mary had had a C-Section on the 4th Sunday of December instead of the 25th! That way Christmas would always fall on a Sunday and would be less disruptive to the shopping season!!!!
Metro fares increase. (Patch file photo.)
John Strother March 28, 2014 at 12:41 pm
$1.00 surcharge for using the paper fare card purchased at the gate, you got to be kidding me. TheRead More metro has lied about not seeking funds to complete the rail. Va has done many taxes that is suppose to fund this rail and still loses money on it.
Kim McCoy March 28, 2014 at 03:40 pm
...and while you will be paying more to ride the metro, you get the added benefit of a 30% increaseRead More in snatch-and-grab robberies! I'm so glad Virginia was forced to spend all of our tax dollars on a metro expansion for people from Maryland and the District to come over here and take Virginia jobs while also being able to snatch a new phone or bicycle on their way back to where ever they came from!

What a shame that metro doesn't increase the quality of their service at the same rate as theyRead More increase their fares.
Storm forecast for Sunday night, Monday.
Raul Ortega March 16, 2014 at 08:03 pm
I'm a little confused by this statement "The forecast calls for a mx of rain and snow earlyRead More Sunday evening", is the forecast calling for a matrix algebra interpreter and numerical optimizer for structural equation modeling, an Internet Mail Exchange DNS record, or a share in Magnachip Semiconductor Corp? Got spell-check?

Very many big lottery winners report that they used a quick pick (lucky dip). Maybe there'sRead More nothing really much in it, but quick picks certainly do seem to be more lucky. To try to take advantage of this, I have my own little just-for-fun page which generates personal quick pick numbers. As I say, it is only for fun, but you never know your luck! Look out for VillaLibra Lucky Numbers if you want to see if you can locate it.

This winter storm has absolutely no name associated with it. The for-profit Weather Channel comes upRead More with these ridiculous winter storm names. I'm shocked that a news outlet like Patch would use a name that was assigned by a commercial entity. The National Weather Service - the official source for storm names - DOES NOT assign names to winter storms!
Patch is keeping an eye out for delays, closing and cancellations as the area braces for yet another winter storm. Patch archive photo

Thanks, Patch Reader. As I pointed out (not very successfully, I guess), the weather story cameRead More under the headline, "March in Review." We do this monthly. CS: As you may or may not have read, Patch spun out from AOL in February to become a private company. The staffing was scaled down to get the company's finances in order, and now we are in the process of rebuilding. Patch does offer ways for readers like you to contribute to the sites, including with information on local sports events. We'd welcome your contributions. And thanks for the feedback!
CS March 31, 2014 at 10:43 am
Thanks for the information, Todd. I know there are opportunities for us to contribute, but I wonderRead More if your journalists can cover local sports teams and do a run down of them even by week. I am on the board of a large girls house softball team 350+ kids each season and I know they would love to see their names in a cool write-up. I loved that when I was a kid, but of course, it wasn't online back then :-) I'll see what we can do to submit write-ups to you periodically as to how the games each week.
Todd Richissin (Editor) March 31, 2014 at 11:55 am
Thanks, CS. Would love to see it on our sites. Don't hesitate to contact me if you run into anyRead More problems submitting. Glad to help. todd.richissin@patch.com
