The Lorton Community Action Center has partnered with Macy's, and a $5 donation to the former could mean big savings at the latter. In other words, if you shop at the Lorton's Attic - LCAC's Thrift Store and donate $5 you'll receive a 25 percent off coupon that will be eligible all day on Aug. 24, 2013.
"It's a good deal, especially when folks are doing back to school shopping," said Andrea Cochrane Tracy, LCAC development director. "And we get our food for .19 cents a pound from the Capital Area Food Bank, so that $5 goes a long way."
