Japanese Summer Festival of Obon

Join hundreds of participants for the summer Japanese celebration at Ekoji Buddhist Temple in Fairfax Station. This annual Obon Festival includes a full evening of activities featuring a performance by the Aloha boys, a local Hawaiian music group, along with traditional Japanese folk dancing, children's games, a taiko performance by Nen Daiko and more.  Saturday, July 13, 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

5th Annual Ice Cream Fundraiser

Head down to the Workhouse Arts Center for the 2013 Workhouse Ceramics Program Ice Cream Social Fundraiser. The event features the sale of hand-made ice cream bowls created by students, ceramic artists and instructors. Saturday, July 13, noon to 4 p.m.

Violin Recital

Fourteen-year-old violinist Julia Meeker will perform a recital of Baroque to Contemporary Music at Belle View Baptist Church. Saturday, July 14, 5 p.m.
