Lorton's Workhouse Arts Center - the former home of the Lorton prison - never looks more dramatic than when illuminated by fireworks. It's a picturesque scene - take our word for it - and you might just do yourself and family a favor by bringing a blanket, some lawn chairs and your family and friends.

The show begins with the Mount Vernon Nights Concert featuring the music of the City of Fairfax Band Swing Ensemble, followed by the fireworks at 8:00 p.m.
