The Hayfield Hawks lost in the final minutes of Friday night's game against the undefeated Yorktown Patriots.
"You've got to fight," said Hayfield coach Roy Hill to his team after the game. "If it doesnt hurt, then you shouldn't be playing this game. You should relish this moment. People got their money's worth. You've got what it takes, so stop making excuses. We need to run the football, catch the football and make touchdowns. It's that simple."
The Hawks next face Centreville away on Sept. 28.
