Lorton Sports Report - Girls Soccer Teams Pick Up Wins

Both now on the brink of clearing .500

The Hayfield girls soccer team returned from Spring Break with a win. They shut out arch-rival Edison 2-0. Tarah Coley and Brooke Watson scored for the Hawks. Kaylin Henson, Alison Henson, Natalie Fry and Brenda Arriaza all played well according to Hayfield Coach Ruben Bolognesi. The win evens Hayfield’s record to 4-4-1 on the year and they will look to put two straight wins together tomorrow against Falls Church.

The South County girls’ soccer team also came back from Spring Break with a win, beating Herndon 3-1. Maddie Tettlebach, Liz Hodges and Britney Kendall scored for South County. The win inched the Stallions closer to the .500 mark at 4-5-1. They look to get there tomorrow against Lee.

South County boys' tennis lost 8-1 to Lake Braddock. The South County girls' results were not reported.
