Lady Colts Win First of Spring Season, 12-6

Grades 5/6 Team B beat Alexandria 1

The Grade 5/6 Team B for the South County Athletic Association (SCAA) Lady Colts beat Alexandria Team 1 last weekend for their first win of the spring season.

The girls broke open a tie game at 2-2 with five straight goes to take a 7-2 lead. Alexandria cut it to 7-4 at halftime. The Colts were keyed by midfield play which created fast break opportunities.

South County’s defense took over in the second half allowing only two goals. Coach Al Balow said, “Great game by our girls. I really want to give some credit to some players I thought really hustled in the game by back checking the Alexandria players and I appreciate their efforts.  Way to go Kristin Rabil, Grace Clark, Rachel Robinson and Cassidy Donaghy.”
