L.L.Bean Outdoor Discovery Day with the 13' "Bootmobile"

Families are invited to participate in L.L.Bean's Outdoor Discovery Day, where expert guides from the company's Outdoor Discovery Schools will be at Occoquan Regional Park, leading demonstrations and giving visitors the chance to learn about and try new outdoor activities.

Participants and passersby will also have the opportunity to take photos with the L.L.Bean Bootmobile, a 13-foot-high, larger-than-life version of the outdoor retailer's most iconic product. In celebration of L.L.Bean's 100th Anniversary year, the Bootmobile is visiting cities and parks across the country, inspiring people to get outdoors. For every peson to visit the Bootmobile, L.L.Bean will donate $1 to the National Park Foundation, up to $1 million.

In addition to Northern Virginia, the L.L.Bean Bootmobile tour will also make stops in New York City and Freeport, ME in later June and July. For more information about L.L.Bean's 100th Anniversary activities and the Bootmobile visit www.llbean.com/100thcelebration.
