Break Out! Ground breaking ceremony for Phase II expansion

The Lorton Arts Foundation is thrilled to announce the groundbreaking ceremony of the Phase II expansion to be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2010. The Governor of Virginia, Bob McDonnell will be present to launch the event, as well as many other state and local officials.  The public is invited to the Break Out! Demolition Ceremony at 12:15 pm and for Hard Hat Tours from 1-3pm. A Conference & Event Center, Theatre and Children's Art & Education Center are three of eight total buildings and facilities to be renovated during Phase II. The renovations will allow the center to expand its performing arts offerings, its theatre and visual arts productions and professional instruction for young audiences, and its event, conference, and meeting space for the region
