Busy Weekend for South County Sports

Swim/dive, basketball, track, wrestling, dance team on tap

The Stallions sports teams and their boosters have a full plate this weekend. Get out today and cheer on your favorite teams:

  • Friday, 4 p.m.: Boys and Girls Freshman Basketball teams meet the Bruins this afternoon in games against Lake Braddock Secondary School at Lake Braddock, 9200 Burke Lake Road
  • Friday, 4:15 p.m.: The Stallions Varsity Wrestling team goes to Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, 850 Hungerford Drive, Rockville, Md., for the First Annual Battlin’ Baron Duals. Eight area teams will compete Friday and again Saturday morning at 9:15, again at Bethesda-Chevy Chase. The Stallions team is coming off of two wins this week, against Wakefield and West Springfield. Next week, the team will face Annandale and gear up for the U.S. Navy Duals in South Carolina.
  • Friday, 5:30 p.m.: Co-ed Indoor Track meet vs. Langley/Wakefield at Thomas Jefferson Middle School, 125 S. Old Glebe Road
  • Friday, 5:45 p.m.: Boys and Girls Junior Varsity basketball away game against Lake Braddock Secondary at Lake Braddock, 9200 Burke Lake Road
  • Friday: 6:30 p.m.: Boys and Girls Varsity Swim and Dive teams at Mount Vernon Rec Center, 2017 Belle View Blvd. Both boys and girls teams won their swim meets against T.C. Williams on Dec. 17, their last meet.
  • Friday, 7:30 p.m.: Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball vs. Lake Braddock Secondary at Lake Braddock, 9200 Burke Lake Road
  • Friday, 7:30 p.m.: Stallions Dance Team at Lake Braddock Secondary, performing at Stallions Boys Varsity Basketball game
