Wow! What a wonderful set of pictures of the new at Fort Belvoir. I had two of my children in the old hospital. It was a no-nonsense military hospital. This new "thing" looks more like a spa! Is it going to be a hospital capable of providing the necessary care to military people and their families? In the past, the Army's ability to have on site good doctors was a continuing problem. As always, Army doctors were subject to transfer after a set number of months. This will still be true, no doubt.
Don't forget the Emergency Room - the place of sick children and not enough doctors and nurses and space to care for people who get sick, not only at sick call time, but late at night on weekends, when like everywhere else, late at night is stand down tme.
Pretty decoration does not a hospital make. The US Government and Department of the Army have spent a whopping amount of taxpayer money for this new hospital. Outside of its beauty, is it going to be a hospital worthy of the title "Hospital?" I most sincerely hope so.
