Local candidates converged on last night for a forum sponsored by the South County Federation.

The candidates in attendance:

  • Virginia State Sen. George Barker (D-39), who is in a tight race against Republican opponent Miller Baker
  • Republican incumbent Del.  (42nd) and his Democratic opponent  
  • Mount Vernon School Board representative  and opponent   
  • Springfield District School Board Candidates  and   
  • Chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors:  (Republican  did not attend, and Independent candidate  was asked to not participate.
