Photos: Delegate Holds Annual 'Cinco de Surovell' Fundraiser at Fort Hunt Park

Del. Scott Surovell raised $30,000 Saturday at event that attracted constituents and fellow Democrats.

Delegate Scott Surovell (D-44) held his third annual “Cinco de Surovell” campaign fundraiser Saturday, celebrating the Cinco de Mayo holiday at Fort Hunt Park. The 50-person party featured Mexican food, Tejano music and beer as well as visits with constituents, colleagues in the General Assembly and members of the Fairfax County School Board. 

“This is one of the most successful fundraisers I have every year," said Surovell. "We've made about $30,000 today." An attorney, Surovell was elected to Virginia's House of Delegates in 2009, and is the former chair of the Fairfax County Democratic Committee.

  • Del. Eileen Filler-Corn (D-41)
  • Del. Alfonso Lopez (D-49)
  • Dan Storck, Mount Vernon District School Board representative on the Fairfax County School Board
  • Ryan McElveen, At-large School Board representative
