2010 Member/Guest Golf Tournament and Party - Fort Belvoir Golf Course

 Open to DOD card holders

On behalf of the entire Golf Club staff I wish to invite you all to participate in this year's 2010 Member/Guest Golf Tournament and Party.

This year's tournament/party will be convened Friday and Saturday. Sign up as a 2-person team and play 18 holes each day. The tournament is conducted on the same 18 hole golf course each day. The tournament golf course both days will consist of holes 1-9 Woodlawn and holes 10-18 Gunston. This configuration will present the best conditioned golf holes from both the Woodlawn and Gunston golf courses.

The format for the tournament will be the "Better Ball of 2-Person Teams" and "Alternate Shot, Modified Version"; net and gross. Each format will be played over 9 holes each day for a total of 18 holes for each format. The Member/Guest overall winner will be the low net team and there will be an award equal in value for the low gross team. October 1 handicaps will be used to calculate team handicaps. The Member/Guest tournament field is limited to the first fifty (50) teams to sign up. Sign up deadline is Sunday, September 26, at 1800.

The tournament team entry fee is $200.00 per team. Tournament entry forms will be available in the Pro Shop.

Friday: 11:00 shotgun start

 

 

 

 

 9:30 to 10:30 registration for tournament in the clubhouse dining room and warm-up on the driving range.

 Tournament shotgun

start at 11:00

; the tournament course is holes 1-9 Woodlawn and holes 10-18 Gunston.

 There will be contest holes on the tournament course each day.

 Hamburgers and hot dogs and beverages available 11:30 at the gazebo during tournament play.

 Return scorecards to the scoreboard on the clubhouse patio after completion of the round.

 Skills contest conducted starting at 4:00 to 5:30 on the driving range, putting green, and short game practice area; beverages available on the clubhouse patio.

 Friday night tournament party starts at 5:30 and offers abundant food selections, excellent drink and great entertainment provided by the "Little Muddy Jones Band".

Saturday:

9:30 shotgun start

 Full breakfast buffet served from 7:00 to 9:15 in the clubhouse dining room; warm-up on the driving range.

 Tournament shotgun

start at 9:30
