Bulova Raises $30,000 in Campaign Contributions at Workhouse Oktoberfest Event

Bulova doubled the amount of cash in her campaign war chest.

Sharon Bulova, Chair of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, raised approximately $30,000 at her annual Oktoberfest event at the Workhouse Arts Center on Sunday.

Bulova, who is seeking a third term in Nov. 2015, had $35,165 in campaign funds in the bank, before the Oktoberfest event.

Bulova was narrowly elected chairman on Feb. 3, 2009, in a special election to fill the seat vacated by U.S. Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-11th). After serving as the Braddock District supervisor for 21 years, she defeated Republican Springfield District Supervisor Pat Herrity by just 1,206 votes out of 107,743 votes cast.
