Woman Attacked at Gunston Plaza McDonald's

One teenage suspect is in custody and police are looking for two more.

A woman was beaten at a McDonald's drive-thru in Lorton, and Fairfax County Police are still on the lookout for two suspects in connection with the Dec. 20 incident.

"It happened so fast," said the victim, 27-year-old Rakia Parker, to MyFoxDC.com.

Parker's nose was broken and her cheekbone fractured when, from her car in the drive-thru of the Gunston Plaza McDonald's, she honked her horn and asked a group of males standing at the drive-thru window to move.

"...Two of them just started punching me through the window all up the side of my face. The whole time he was punching me, he said absolutely nothing," Parker told MyFoxDC.

One suspect, Daniel Kim, was arrested at the scene and charged with assault and drunk in public. Police did not have descriptions of the other suspects.

Gunston Plaza is becoming thug central. I feel sorry for the businesses there. IMHO it started down that path when the DMV is put there.

Gunston Plaza has always been sketchy way before that DMV was put there. I personally think Las Colinas brings out the crime element there. I've had many female friends say they don't feel safe in that shopping center due to certain males that frequent that business engaging in stalking. About 4 years ago, a very close friend of mine was followed from Food Lion (then Bloom I think) to her apartment building behind the shopping center; which is the Woods Of Fairfax. Luckily she wasn't hurt but it goes to show not everything gets reported. To this day, I always see questionable characters near the Super Highs convenience store and Las Colinas.
Hopefully the planned Ihop changes things but I think more should be done to get rid of this issue.

Very interesting article! I would only correct Rob's math--a posted speed limit of 160 kilometersRead More per hour is equal to 99 miles per hour, not 80. And 220 km/hr equals 136 mph--no wonder his knuckles were white,

Yes, did not do the conversion correctly. When on the road, I just use the 50% figure for a roughRead More estimate. 136 was not too much fun! Thanks,
