Two Sex Offenses in Two Weeks, Stolen License Plates and Other Lorton Crimes of the Week

Here's the weekly crime report in Lorton.

A 14-year-old girl was touched inappropriately as she walked in the 7800 block of Lewis Chapel Circle on the morning of Sept. 13, 2013. The girl was walking at around 6:45 a.m. when a man passed her and inappropriately touched her. The suspect fled and the victim was not hurt. 

This is the second groping offense that has been committed in Lorton this month, according to the Fairfax County Police Department. Last week it was reported that a 39-year-old Lorton woman was inappropriately touched from behind as she was jogging with a friend in the 7700 block of Armistead Rd. The suspect ran away and no one was injured. 

No suspect information is available. 

Other Lorton Crime

  • License plates were stolen from a vehicle in the 7700 block of Gunston Plaza. 
  • License plates were stolen from a vehicle in the 10200 block of Gunston Road. 
  • A cell phone was stolen from a residence in the 8000 block of Horseshoe Cottage Circle. 
  • A wallet was stolen from a business in the 8200 block of Gunston Corner Lane. 
  • Prescribed medication was stolen from a business in the 9400 block of Orange Blossom Trail. 
  • A 2012 Toyota 4 Runner was stolen from the 9000 block of Haywood Avenue.
