Three Lorton Groping Incidents Not Related

There were three incidents in September.

Three recent groping cases in Lorton are not connected, even though each incident occurred near each other along Lorton Road, according to the Fairfax County Police Department. 

The most recent incident occurred on Sept. 26, when an 18-year-old Lorton woman was inappropriately touched while walking in the area of Gilmore Dr. and Lorton Rd. The woman was walking at around 7:45 p.m. when she was assaulted. The woman was not injured and no suspect description was available. 

On Sept. 13, a 14-year-old girl was touched inappropriately as she walked in the 7800 block of Lewis Chapel Circle - near Lorton Station Elementary School. The girl was walking at around 6:45 a.m. when a man passed her and inappropriately touched her. The suspect fled and the victim was not hurt. The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s or 30s, about six feet in height and weighing abut 220 pounds. 

Earlier in Sept., a 39-year-old Lorton woman was inappropriately touched from behind as she was jogging with a friend in the 7700 block of Armistead Rd. The suspect, described as a while male with a slim build, ran away and no one was injured.
