UPDATE: All Safe in Three-Alarm Fire at Fort Belvoir Administrative Building
The fire was contained as of 2:50 p.m.
Update:
The fire at 5885 18th St., Building 207 at Fort Belvoir was contained as of 2:50 p.m., and firefighters are addressing remaining hot spots.

Update on the fire at Fort Belvoir:
Fairfax County and Fort Belvoir Fire and Rescue were still fighting the three-alarm fire at 5885 18th St., Building 207 as of 2:30 p.m. It has been confirmed by a Belvoir spokesman that the two-story building housed a cafe on the first floor, administrative offices and classrooms (the latter of which were empty at the time).

Update on the fire at Fort Belvoir from spokesperson Don Dees at 2 p.m.:
"Emergency Services personnel at the scene indicate the fire was in the attic
of a building on 18th Street," he wrote to Patch in an email. "The building was evacuated and has been searched. No injuries have been reported. Crews are still on site fighting the fire."

A three-alarm fire has engulfed a two-level administration building at Fort Belvoir, and crews from the Fort Belvoir and Fairfax County Fire departments are in the process of putting it out.
The fire was reported Monday at around 12:30 p.m. at 5885 18th St., Building 207 on South Post, and fire crews reported heavy smoke coming from the roof of the building.
"We do know it (the building) was evacuated, and they aren't reporting any injuries," said Belvoir spokesman Don Dees to Patch.
