Police Report: Burglaries, Peeping and Theft

Here's a look at criminal activity in the past week as reported by Franconia District and West Springfield District Police Stations. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Franconia Police District

A man was seen peeping through a window in the 6200 block of Roudsby Lane at around 9:15 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26. The suspect is a white male and wore a black jacket, blue jeans and a blue shirt. 

Other events:

• Jewelry was stolen from a home in the 9800 block of Lost Ravine Court. 
• License plates were stolen from a vehicle in the 7300 block of Chatham Street
• Blank checks were stolen from a residence in the 5600 block of Hilldale Drive
• Tools were stolen from a vehicle in the 6800 block of Jerome Street 
• Cash was stolen from a business in the 5800 block of Kingstowne Blvd
• A jacket was stolen from a business in the 6600 block of Telegraph Road
• Beer was stolen from a vehicle in the 7200 block of Old Keene Mill Road
• A radio was stolen from a vehicle in the 6700 block of Perry Penney Drive

West Springfield

A homeowner in the 6000 block of Harvester Court found his home burgled at around midnight on Feb. 24, 2012. The back door was forced open and televisions, cables, gaming systems and handbags were taken from the home.  

Two intruders fled a home in the 7600 block of Southern Oak Drive on Feb. 27, 2012. At around 11:24 a.m., the victim screamed when the men entered. Nothing was taken and no one was hurt.

• Tools were stolen from a vehicle in the 4300 block of Americana Drive
• Beer was stolen from a business in the 8900 block of Burke Lake Road 
• An operator’s license and credit cards were stolen from a vehicle in the 9000 block of Chestnut Ridge Road
• License plates were stolen from a vehicle in the 7800 block of Creekside View Lane
• Tires and a tool box were stolen from a business in the 7600 block of Fullerton Road
• Tools were stolen from a vehicle in the 7200 block of Galgate Drive 
• Tools were stolen from a vehicle in the 5100 block of Hartford Lane
• Jewelry was stolen from a residence in the 9500 block of Harrowhill Lane
• Cash and a gun were stolen from a residence in the 4800 block of Wheatstone Drive
• A purse was stolen from a business in the 7600 block of Little River Turnpike
• A 2000 Toyota Camry was stolen from the 7800 block of Anson Court 
• A 2009 Toyota Camry was stolen from the 8100 block of Cockburn Court
