Stolen Necklaces, a GPS and Arrests

Fairfax County police were busy in Lorton last week.

Here's a look at criminal activity in Lorton from July 25- Aug. 1, as reported by the Franconia District Police Station.

Last week across Fairfax County, there were 31 Domestic violence-related charges, 74 Illegal drug-related charges and 70 DWI-related charges.

Here's a list of Lorton crime events from the Franconia Police District:

  • A GPS, cell phone and other personal items were stolen from 7900 Gunston Woods Place. 
  • The front tags of a vehicle were stolen from the 7800 block of Lewis Chapel Circle. 
  • Two necklaces were stolen from a residence in the 9200 block of Wildwood Street. 

Arrests (Names Withheld) 

  • A 44-year-old Lorton woman living in the 9100 block of Colgrove Court was arrested for obstruction of justice on July 30. 
  • A 26-year-old man living in the 8900 block of Birch Bay Circle was arrested for driving without a license on July 28.  
  • A 23-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man living in the 9500 block of Hagel Circle were arrested for grand larceny on July 27.     
  • A 30-year-old woman living in the 9600 block of Hagel Circle was arrested for driving without a license on July 25
  • A 37-year-old man living in the 10400 block of Belmont Blvd. was arrested for driving a boat recklessly on July 28.   
  • A 38-year-old Lorton man living in 9500 block of Hagel Circle was arrested for grand larceny and possession of Marijuana on July 25.
