School Vehicle Involved in Accident in Lorton

Fairfax County police confirm some children were transported with minor injuries Friday morning.

A school vehicle transporting children was involved in an accident this morning in Lorton, Fairfax County Public Schools confirmed. 

Fairfax County Police are on the scene, reportedly near Silverbrook and Southrun roads in Lorton. A few students were transported with minor injuries. 

Police could not give any information about how the accident happened, what school the vehicle was driving to or from, or what vehicles were involved. It's not clear how many children were being transported by the vehicle, nor, exactly how many were injured. Police are investigating.
