Police Seek Information in BB Gun Car Shootings
FCPD looking for suspect responsible for shooting out more than a dozen car windows in the past week.
The Fairfax County Police Department is seeking the public's help in locating a suspect responsible for shooting through more than a dozen car windows in the Newington Forest and Terra Grande neighborhoods.
The shootings took place over the past week primarily between 1 and 3 a.m., and involved either a pellet or BB gun, police said in a release Monday. The most recent incident occurred Thursday. In most of the incidents, the vehicles were empty. However, in at least one of the cases, the cars were occupied, police said. Detectives indicate the rear windows of minivans or SUVs are being targeted by the suspect.
