Police: Missing Boy, Mom Seen in Las Vegas

FCPS says Rebecca Serafin may be heading to Los Angeles.

Fairfax County Police say that Cameron Serafin, the Fairfax County boy who has been missing since April 7, has been seen with his mother in Las Vegas.

Investigators have been looking for the mother and her 5-year-old son since Rebecca Serafin did not return the boy to his father's home in Great Falls as scheduled.  

Detectives say Rebecca and Cameron Serafin were seen in the baggage claim area at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada on Thursday, April 11, around 10 p.m., after arriving on a Southwest Airlines flight from Birmingham, Ala. They are possibly headed for Los Angeles, Calif.

Police have issued a warrant charging Rebecca Serafin with felony parental abduction.

Cameron was seen on airport surveillance video wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, black and white pajama type pants and a gray, train engineer’s type hat.

Rebecca appeared to be wearing a black hat, a dark jacket and blue jeans. She was carrying two large pieces of luggage.

Police are asking that the public continue to engage social media, particularly Twitter and Facebook and using the hash tag #findcameron.
