Police Blotter: Woman Assaulted Christmas Eve in Lorton

The following information was supplied by the Fairfax County Police Department. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 19-year-old Lorton woman was assaulted on the afternoon of Christmas Eve. The victim was walking home in the 7800 block of Lambkin Court, when at 2 p.m., a man inappropriately touched her from behind and ran away when she screamed. The incident is not connected to the string of recent assaults in the central Springfield area. 

Police are still searching for two suspects wanted in the Dec. 20 assault of a 26-year-old woman at a drive-thru of the McDonald's at Gunston Plaza. At around 1:30 a.m., an argument broke out between the victim and the three suspects, who approached the car and then allegedly punched the woman several times before fleeing. One suspect, 18-year-old Daniel Kim of Lorton, was arrested and charged with being drunk in public and assault. Police provided no suspect descriptions.

• A GPS, a checkbook and cash were stolen from a vehicle in the 7800 block of Dogue Indian Circle in Lorton. 
• License plates were stolen from a vehicle in the 9300 block of Davis Drive in Lorton. 

Recent Arrests

• A 24-year-old Lorton woman living in the 8300 block of Souther Oaks Court was arrested on Dec. 19 for driving without a license. 
• An 18-year-old Lorton man living in the 9000 block of Marie Court was arrested for assault on Dec. 20.                                  
• A 31-year-old Lorton man living in the 9200 block of Ashland Woods Lane was arrested for robbing a business on Dec. 20. 
• A 47-year-old Lorton man living in the 10000 block of Richmond Highway was arrested on Dec. 21 for assaulting a family member. 
• A 20-year-old Lorton man living in the 8000 block of Horseshoe Cottage Drive was arrested on Dec. 22 for reckless driving. 
• A 37-year-old Fairfax Station man living in the 8400 block of Crosslake Drive was arrested on Dec. 22 for reckless driving. 
• A 19-year-old Lorton man living in the 9000 block of Two Bays Road was arrested for driving without a license on Dec. 25.  
• A 42-year-old Fairfax Station man living in the 7700 block of Kelly Ann Court was arrested on Dec. 25 for public drunkenness.
