Reported crime in Lorton in the past week

Here’s the reported crime in Lorton last week.

On March 30, in the 7700 block of Porters Hill Lane a man did not pay after being dropped off by taxi.

On April 2, in the 13000 block of Holly Place a car was egged, damaging the vehicle’s paint. The mailbox at the residence was also missing.

Also on April 2, a 15 year-old boy was robbed of his cell phone while he was in a business at Gunston Plaza. The suspect is a black male between 16 and 20 years old, about 5’8” with a thin build. He was wearing a blue jacket, red long-sleeved shirt, black track pants and a tan hat.

On April 5, a woman had her purse stolen when she was walking near Lewis Chapel Road and Lorton Road at approximately 9:30. The suspect is black or Hispanic between ages 15 and 20, between 5’8” and 5’10” and between 140-150 pounds. The suspect was described as wearing black pants and a black hooded sweatshirt. The victim was uninjured.

Also:

  • A laptop computer was stolen from a business in the 10500 block of Furnace Road.
  • Equipment was stolen from a construction site at 8400 Lorton Road.
  • A stereo was stolen from a vehicle in Occoquan Regional Park.
