Misconduct in Mount Vernon, Stolen Wallet in Springfield, Burgled Business in Burke

Here's the daily crime report.

Thankfully things were quiet in Lorton today, but there were a few crime incidents on the outskirts. Here's the latest on area crime, courtesy of the daily Fairfax County Police Department daily police blotter. 

Crime Events

A 49-year-old Mount Vernon man was assaulted after ordering two people to leave a business property in the 8200 block of Richmond Hwy. on Oct. 13, 2013. The suspects refused to leave the Mount Vernon property and hit the man while he tried to call 9-1-1 on his cell phone.

The suspects, who took the phone, are described as Hispanic males in their 20s. One wore a dark jacket and blue shorts and the other wore a blue T-shirt and cutoff shorts. 

A wallet was stolen from a home in the 6300 block of Augusta Dr. in Springfield. 

A business in the 5700 block of Burke Centre Parkway was broken into and several items were stolen. Forced entry was made through a door, and police were notified of the incident by a delivery man that works at the business.
