Man Charged in December Stabbing in Lorton

Victim was left for dead on Mason Neck

A 19-year-old Woodbridge man has been arrested on charges of abducting and stabbing a man in December, and then pawning the victim's cell phone and abandoning his car in Arlington County.

Prince William County Police said Gelber Boror, who lives at 14408 Gemstone Dr. #301 in Woodbridge, met the victim, a 46-year-old Alexandria man, Dec. 1, 2010 at East Coast Billiards and the two went together to a home in the 14100 block of Franklin Street.

He allegedly stabbed the man several times in the chest. Police said Boror forced the victim into his car and then drove to Fairfax County. Boror allegedly ordered the victim out of the car near Springfield Drive, near Pohick Bay Regional Park, then took the man's cell phone and personal belongings and left him stranded.

Police said the man ended up in a pond near the area. He was left for dead, then climbed out of the water and alerted a passerby who called 911. The victim was taken to Fairfax Hospital, but could not talk to investigators for some time because of the severity of his injuries.

Police said Boror pawned the victim's cell phone the next day and drove the victim's car to Arlington County, where he abandoned it. The car was located by Arlington County Police on Dec. 3, 2010.

He was held without bond and an immigration detainer was placed on him because he was found to be an illegal immigrant.

A court date has been set for May 31 in General District Court.
