Lorton Woman Brandishes Knife, Scares Away 'Peeping Tom'

Her barking dogs alerted her to suspect—described as a 200-pound, 5-foot, 6-inch Hispanic man, wearing cowboy boots.

Just before 7 a.m. on Monday, March 19, a woman who lives in the 7600 block of Highland Woods Court in Lorton was alerted by her dogs to something outside.

When she looked to see what was going on, she saw a man standing on her patio, exposing his genitals, she told Fairfax County police. He fled only after she grabbed a knife and yelled at him to leave.

The man—described as Hispanic, between 25-35 years old, about 5-feet, 6-inches tall, 200 pounds, with black hair—was wearing a brown jacket, red shirt, blue jeans and cowboy boots.

The report of the Peeping Tom incident is one of several made in the past two months, though it is unclear that any of the incidents are related:

9:15 a.m., 6200 Roudsby Lane, Kingstowne. The suspect was described as white, wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and a blue shirt.

Monday, Feb. 13, 2012: 6:38 p.m., 4200 Americana Drive, Annandale 

: Just after midnight, 8900 block of Igoe Street in Lorton, a man was standing on the back deck of a home looking inside. The two women in the home were not harmed. The suspect fled when the victims screamed.

Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012: 10:37 p.m., 7700 Kalorama Road, Annandale

Residents who see people peering into their windows (or their neighbors' windows) are encouraged to call police right away with as much descriptive information as possible.
