Lorton Man Charged with Robbing Acquaintance

A 29-year-old Lorton man is accused of pushing an acquaintance to the ground and taking her cash, according to police.

The incident took place at about 2 p.m. on Saturday near Lewis Chapel Road and Timarand Drive in Lorton, the Fairfax County Police Department reports.

Authorities said that officers were called to the reported robbery along with a K-9 unit who found the man in a nearby woodline. Thomas J. Todd was charged with robbery.
