Lorton Crimes of the Week

Graffiti, a Stray Dog and drunken drivers

There was not much crime this week in the Lorton area, but here's the incidents that were released by the Fairfax County Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

  • The pavement outside a business in the 7900 block of Hill Park Court in Lorton was reported spray-painted on March 26, 2013. The incident was reported at around 2:30pm, and was removed by the business owner.
  • Officers conducted a patrol this week in the Franconia Police District, which includes Lorton, and two people were charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Eight summonses and 14 warnings were also issued.
  • A Centreville woman was charged for a dog license violation in the 9500 block of Unity Lane on March 23, 2013. A stray Shih Tzu was corralled by a resident, and it was found to not be licensed or have a rabies vaccination tag. The owner was charged with no dog license and no current rabies vaccination.
