Lorton Crime: Boating Under the Influence, Woman Groped and a Burglary

Be safe out there this week!

The following crimes in Lorton were reported by the Fairfax County Police Department. 

A 27-year-old woman was walking with a stroller in the area of Cherek Dr. and Sebrell St. in Lorton when she was inappropriately touched by a man, who fled the scene on foot. The incident occurred at around 7:15 p.m. on July 16, 2013, and the woman was not injured. 

One boater was charged with boating under the influence at Lorton's Pohick Bay on July 21, 2013. Offices from the Marine Patrol Unit checked 18 vessels and made two Virginia Uniform summonses and issued eight safety warnings. The officers also distributed nine “I got caught wearing my life jacket”.

A Lorton resident living in the 6700 block of Bulkley Rd. reported that someone entered their home on July 22, 2013 at around 1:40 p.m. Forced entry was made via the rear door, but nothing appeared to have been taken. 

A Lorton resident reported that someone entered their home in the 7400 block of Ardglass Dr. and stole a gaming system. The incident occurred at around 5:50 p.m. on July 24, 2013, and there was no sign of forced entry.
