Three-Car Crash in Lorton Sends Five to Hospital
No fatalities in accident on Route 1 across from Lorton Library.
Five people are in the hospital after a three-car crash Wednesday afternoon along Route 1 directly across from the Lorton Library. Fairfax County Police were on the scene minutes after the crash which occurred at 2:36 p.m. and stopped all north and southbound traffic along Route 1.
"A couple people had to be extricated but there were no life-threatening injuries," said police spokesperson Shelley Broderick.
Investigators are still determining the cause of the crash. The total number of passengers in the three cars was not released.
