Fender-Bender at Route 1 and Fairfax County Parkway Creates Traffic Jam

The accident occurred at around 3:15 p.m.

A fender bender has created earlier-than-usual traffic on Richmond Highway near Fort Belvoir today. As of 3:15 p.m., Fairfax County Fire and Police officials were directing southbound traffic in the area of Richmond Highway and the Fairfax County Parkway. No one was injured in the crash. 

Traffic was reduced to a single lane.

Then there was a tractor trailer broken down in the northbound left lane across from Burger King shortly after!
