Crime Solvers to Host Shredding Fundraiser Event Saturday

The community is invited to shred papers to avoid identity theft and help support Fairfax County Crime Solvers.

The Fairfax County Crime Solvers will host a shred event fundraiser from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Mount Vernon Police District Station located at 2511 Parkers Lane in Alexandria.

County residents are welcome to stop by and shred old paper to hep prevent identity theft and to support local Crime Solvers programs.

During the event, the community can drive through the front parking lot of the station and pass along their bags or boxes of papers for sponsors Cornerstone Records Management to shred on site. Suggested donations of $5 per bag or box of papers will be accepted.

Donations will benefit Fairfax County Crime Solvers, a 501c3 non-profit organization that provides anonymous phone, email and text capabilities for the public to report criminal activity and wanted persons to police.
