Car Stolen on Gunston Road in Lorton, Helicopter and K-9 Team Find Suspect Hiding in Woods

The incident occurred on Friday afternoon

Police recovered a car stolen in Lorton on Friday and apprehended a 47-year-old Woodbridge man, who was found hiding in nearby woods.

At around 2:40 p.m., the victim, a 36-year-old Lorton male, left the motor running in his car and walked into a convenience store in the 9800 block of Gunston Road. 

A suspect then got into the victim's car and drove away. The car was located a short distance away, and Leroy Crosby, 47, of Woodbridge, was arrested and charged with being drunk in public. Crosby was found with the help of a police helicopter and a K-9 team.
