Lorton’s Slayton Speer Appointed to Leadership Position at Randolph-Macon Academy

Lorton’s Slayton Speer, a junior within the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps at Randolph-Macon Academy, has been appointed to the student leadership organization.

Speer, a junior at R-MA, received the position of Kilo Flight Sergeant with the rank of Technical Sergeant. Only students with records of strong academics and leadership abilities are eligible for the Academy's cadet officer and non-commissioned officer ranks.

He is the son of Wes and Camela Speer of Lorton.

Randolph-Macon Academy, founded in 1892, is a college-preparatory, coeducational boarding school for students in grades six through 12. Students in grades 9-12 participate in R-MA's 91st Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps.
