New Trail Opening at Mason Neck State Park!

Bring your hiking boots and adventurous spirit with you to Mason Neck State Park on September 29th for the grand opening of our new Meadow View Trail.

The new trail at Mason Neck State Park is sure to become a fast favorite.  Imagine yourself walking through the forest past a sleepy box turtle, under large chestnut oak trees while being serenaded by a barred owl along the way.  At the end of the trail you might just see a fox, a flock of wild turkey, or even some perching bald eagles.  The residents all seem to be there to welcome you into the serene wilderness…

Here at Mason Neck State Park staff and volunteers have been busy this past summer creating an exciting new trail!  Join us on September 29th for National Public Lands Day for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony of our new Meadow View Trail.  This trail is moderate in difficulty and leads you through the forest out to a wildlife blind overlooking a beautiful meadow.

Be one of the very first people to experience this new adventure at Mason Neck State Park!  Call the Visitor Center at 703-339-2380 for more details.  We look forward to seeing you Saturday, September 29th
