Final Days of Summer Reading!

There are just a few days left for children to complete their summer reading and receive a coupon book from the library.  The Summer Reading Program ends on August 31 – that’s this Saturday!   All Fairfax County Public Library branches will be open until 5pm that day.

And then it’s time for school!  We’re bringing back the Paws to Read program starting Saturday, September 7th.   Children ages 6-12 can practice reading aloud to a trained therapy dog.  New this school year is a Junior Chess Club for 8-12 year olds which is also starting on September 7.

Our pre-school programs for ages 12-23 months, 2-3 years, and 3-5 years are all back on the September schedule, and for the 6-12 year olds on September 21 we’ll have a rousing Mad-Lib storytime.
