Inaugural South County High School Band Twilight Rock -n- Run 5K

The South County High School Band and TurfSoCo are sponsoring a 5K Run to benefit the SCHS Band program and the SCHS Turf Project! Runners of all ages and capabilities are encouraged to register in this inaugural event!
Awards will be given to the top three runners in each age and gender category.

Sponsorships are still available! Local business participatation helps to minimize costs associated with organizing the race (participant t-shirts, certifying the course, accurate race timing costs, awards for top runners, and drinks for runners during and after the race).  The SCHS Band Boosters are a non-profit 501©3 entity charged with supporting a successful fine arts education for all students in the band at both South County High and Middle Schools.  SCHS Band Boosters raise funds for new instruments, instrument maintenance, uniforms, music rights, entry fees to competitions, transportation, and music assistant fees. among other miscellaneous expenses.  TurfSoCo is raising money to bring synthetic turf to the community which will save money in maintenance, increase player safety, enable use in all weather and enable SCHS to host playoff, tournament, and championship games.  TurfSoCo’s goal is to raise $500,000 by March 2015.
