Community Corner

5th Annual Northern Virginia Cycle Fest

The Northern Virginia Cycle Fest is an annual community ride that is
hosted by the Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia, in
partnership with its sponsors, and is open to all experienced riders who
are comfortable riding on roads with traffic — with a suggested minimum
age of 12 – and who have a road bike. Set in the fall, the ride enjoys
the fall temperatures and scenery through the hills of Northern
Virginia. Each year, the charity ride selects beneficiaries. In 2014,
the ride will benefit two charities: Wounded Warriors Project and the
Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA).

The ride options
are designed to be fun and challenging for riders of all levels and
experience. It is the intent of Northern Virginia Cycle Fest to bring
together riders who have a common goal of health, friendship, and giving
back to the community. All ride options are supported with rest stops,
SAG vehicle support, mechanical support, merchant sponsorship and light
refreshments.

Ride distances of 62, 50, 30, and 11 miles to choose from.
