GOP Senate Nominee Ed Gillespie Makes Headquarters in Lorton

Gillespie won the Virginia Republican Senate nomination at a party convention Saturday afternoon in Roanoke.

Fresh from his weekend win as the Republican nominee in a U.S. Senate race against incumbent Mark Warner (D), Ed Gillespie, was expected to rally the troops Tuesday from his campaign headquarters in Lorton.

Gillespie won the Virginia Republican Senate nomination at a party convention Saturday afternoon in Roanoke. Gillespie, a former Republican National Committee chairman and lobbyist, won on the first ballot over three conservative opponents, according to Politico.

In a conference call last week from his Lorton headquarters, Gillespie announced The Ed Gillespie Agenda for Economic Growth (EG²).

The agenda details the commitments he would make in the Senate to policies that would create jobs in Virginia and get the economy moving, according to his Web site.

Further specific policies under the framework of the EG² Agenda will be rolled out in the weeks ahead, according to his campaign
